FREE Breakfasts and Lunches:
I also wanted to let you know that we are working with Chartwells Food Services to provide FREE breakfasts and lunches for children under 18 years of age (and for persons with special needs who are up to 26 years of age). Meals will be available at all of our elementary schools and Avondale Middle School from 9 AM – 11 AM and 12 PM – 1 PM. Children do not need to be present (it is a drive up service) and they do not need to be enrolled in an Avondale School District school to participate. Two pick-ups are scheduled for next week. The first on March 17 (each child receives breakfasts and lunches for 3 days) and the second on March 20 (each child receives breakfasts and lunches for 4 days).

Blessings in a Backpack will be distributed on March 20 during the Chartwells FREE meal pick-up at each building and we will still host our monthly Gleaners Food Bank on March 25 at The River Church (at Waukegan and Squirrel roads).

In a memo to employees Friday, Delta Air Lines Inc. chief executive officer Ed Bastian said he will forgo his salary for six months. Bastian's 2018 salary was approximately $900,000, according to filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
