My business partners mom was 85. Doctor told him he had to get his mom to stop smoking and eating sweets. That week he picked her up a carton of cigs and a cake. Fuck that doctor he tells me.
I’d always chuckle at that. I mean, sure the doctor was right but can you imagine telling your mom at that age she can’t have cigs and sweets. She died about a year or so after that.

I still head to Tasty Twist periodically - I don't enjoy being inside, though.. even if it's just for a quick order. My dial my visits back now that a lot more (irresponsible) students are in town.

Since March, I’ve been to Soldan’s twice, Van Atta’s three times, and two visits to my knee doc, incl. an MRI. Anything I need or want gets delivered, including Ben & Jerry’s ice cream. Too much Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, actually. My belly is growing and I’ve gotten squishy.

OMG, that is so unfair! Covid has definitely given a hard time to everybody. It didn’t just affect our health system but also many small businesses. Too many businesses found themselves forced to suspend their services, just like MSU Dairy Store.Btw, I’ve read that now with the lifting up of certain restrictions the MSU Dairy Store might be opening again. In the end what matters is that we are all healthy: so as long as our health is good we can be a little bit content. Speaking of health, you guys should take a look at iinsight.biz. Nowadays we can make any kind of job easier, including case management.

According to my source who works in the MSU Ag Dept, The Dairy Store is currently scheduled to reopen sometime in September.
The closure and subsequent rumors that the closure was permanent turned out to be a helluva lot bigger deal than those who made the initial decision ever considered it would.
It took on a life of it own including the AG Dept seeing professors willing to be courted by other AG schools. Those professors are often tied to big money for the department from major agra business and MSU's Ag department casts a large shadow over university funding.
