If Cook plays well in the preseason or gets a chance in the regular and does well - the biggest beneficiary should be Lewerke.
At some point being a Michigan State QB is going to start to carry a certain cachet with it....Stanton, Hoyer, Cousins, Cook, now Lewerke....That string should start to mean "NFL ready" to anyone evaluating the draft.
Even the occasional mention of Foles time here can't hurt....

It sucks because I can't solve it with an antenna, you need a big tower up here to get anything over the air.
The pissing matches between stations and cables companies are ridiculous, it's a chunk of money to have the service and then they nickle and dime their costs

I really don't blame DISH - the fucking local stations are available to anyone for free as long as you watch their ads. Now they want to charge DISH for serving those same shows and ads to me? Stupid.

Ah the WCF patch...
NFL rules allow a one season memorial change to uniforms which Lions used in 2014. Martha decided she liked it and wanted to use it again in 2015. The NFL gave then two options.
1. They could continue with the patch as an addition to the officially licensed Jersey and pay a $50k fine for every game it was used or
2. Make it part of official uniform and not have any changes to uniform for 5 years and not pay that fine.
So they took #2 and it will be 2020 until it can be changed at the earliest.

Tampa signed Jerel Worthy. Reunion time for Jerel and Big Will.

Things not looking good in Oakland for CC. Another bad performance as the QB2 last night. And EJ Manuel was just as bad. Gruden said he doesn't know if Carr's backup is on the roster.
Shilique had another good game. I've watched all 3 Raiders games and he has looked good. Cook looked great in week 1 and terrible in the last two.

Yeah, that's what all the replies to the tweet indicate. Seems like Chiefs and Giants fans want him though.

Burbridge, Frey and Cox all cut. Rush, too. Raiders trade for AJ McCarron. Cook is probably getting cut. Unless they decide to cut Manuel.

He was thrown to the wolves in that playoff game. When he came in for Maxwell against TCU, he immediately had the huddle and respect of the team. They play harder for you. The opposite happened at Oakland. Just my opinion. He seems like a good third QB option for some team. We’ll see.

Re: Spartans in the NFL
I believe he's practice squad eligible. My hunch is most of these guys will sign on with someone's practice squad.
Big Will and Worthy make it in Tampa. Bullogh to IR and I read they're going to release him with an injury settlement.

Was there some question about Will making the cut? Good to see Jerel make it. He keeps hanging on in the league.

No Will was pretty solid. He had a poor year last year after signing a big contract but he was in bad shape. He came into camp this year in great shape and has been playing well in preseason. Also he's very versatile and can play DT, 3 technique and DE.
Worthy is somewhat of a surprise but they're very banged up at the Dt spot.

Worthy for sure must be coming close to being eligible for an NFL pension.

Re: Spartans in the NFL
You only need 3 years of service to qualify for NFL pension. You get more for each additional year. I think there's a kicker at 10 years or something.

Do they have to be full seasons or can they be partial, because I don’t think Jerel has been on the roster of any team for a full season, though I’m probably wrong.

When Saban went to Bama he wanted Bobby with him. But Bobby had to stay and get fired in February by Miami to qualify for a pension. He joined Saban. second year there and just hung around his sons high school and volunteered coach. I have t spoke with Bobby for mo this but will ask him what the deal is

Re: Spartans in the NFL
You need three "credited seasons" to qualify for the NFL pension.
A credited season is any season that a player is on an NFL team’s roster (both active and inactive), Injured Reserve or Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list for more than three games. The above lists qualify as ‘full pay status’ for an NFL player, and three games under full pay status count as a credited season. Credited seasons differ from accrued seasons, which require six games under full pay status.
