Yeah, the date wasn't set right lol. My biggest complaint when my brother set my camera.

I'd say wolves, ears look round, aren't coyotes pointed?

Re: Wolves or coyotes?
They look bigger than your average coyote and tails don't appear tapered, so wolf.

Went bear hunting on Drummond Island last week. Had a great time with my son. No bear though.

It would be pretty significant if they are in the lower peninsula. Documented sightings of wolves in the LP are rare and I believe there is no known permanent population of wolves in the LP.

That is the one thing that gave me pause. That and I'm not sure if I've ever seen a wolf, definitely not in the wild. All the coyotes I've seen have been much smaller/lower to the ground and bushier tails.

Re: Wolves or coyotes?
Going by the ears, I’m leaning toward wolves, too. Tail positions are indistinguishable, and can’t see the chest, but the legs are tall and skinny. Plus, aren’t you in one of the two Northern Lower counties where wolf sightings have been confirmed?

We should look at his sister’s legs again to confirm.

Re: Wolves or coyotes?
It was Alger county in the U.P. I was fairly certain I saw one about ten years ago while hunting. I was scrolling the pictures quickly last night and there’s a third one in the background. One thing I’ve learned is I’ll be leaving my camera up all winter from now on, lol. Can’t believe the batteries last for a year. LOL.

There’s also a Kingston Plains in Alger County that happens to be right near Kingston Lake. I wonder if that was intentional...

Reading that reminded me of the Thumb fire of 1881 that I learned a little about last year.

I had a thumb fire one time. Came from a flaming case of digital herpes.
