Hate Week 2020

I hate Jim Harbaugh and I hate losing. Hoping we can all move in the same direction this week and god willing and as long as the creek don't rise we can kick some Wolverine ass next Saturday. Go Green!

It smells like pee in Ann Arbor.

My hate isn’t there this week. Is it just me? It’s hard to bubble it up when I’m so apathetic about the game. It might change come game day.

Although if MSU won on Sat, and got their asses handed to them the rest of the season, I would consider it a successful season.

"Hate week" just doesn't feel the same now that I don't live in Michigan.  I don't know anyone in Delaware who went to Michigan or MSU.  I have a couple of friends here who went to Penn State, but they won't be talking any shit this week.

Its a COVID season. This game, this season doesn't have the same intensity.

The cynic in me says Harbaugh and the umaa braintrust will lie their asses off and you won't see any positive test announcements of any key players for the next 8 weeks.

I get it. This just doesn’t feel like a season, and playing scum the second week in eliminates all of the drama and buildup to the game. But it’s still the walvies, and for the sake of sending the right message to your kids, fake it. You might have some experience in that area. (Sorry, Nevets.)

Honestly, I can't ever remember seeing anyone wearing U of M gear here.  The University of Delaware has eerily similar uniforms, so I may have just missed it.  There is a U of M vanity plate available (Delaware has around 200 vanity plates - FWIW, not MSU).  I occasionally see MSU gear but when I have asked, that has all been for Saint Marks a local catholic high school that uses a Spartan Logo close to ours.

There are no FBS football programs in Delaware college football just isn't that big of a deal here.  We don't even have any pro sports teams other than one minor league baseball team.  You can't buy U of M gear at a Walmart here, if you find any college apparel at all it will be Penn State or Maryland.  If you said U of M here, people would assume you are talking about Maryland.

Oh, and Addict, I checked and there are alumni groups in DC, Baltimore, and Philly. No idea how long it takes you to get to those cities.

He knows his football, his brother played 12 years in the NFL.

Just under two hours, I live in northern DE (upper Delaware as they say here) close to the top of the 12 mile circle near the PA border.

I came across this pic in my Facebook memories in 2014. This UM guy was tailgating by us, and passed out drunk within an hour of tailgating starting. We threw his blanket over his head and I had to take a pic to document it.

This is making me miss tailgating,  even if it's a shit year.

Reminds me of one year I was at the game (we won it too) and from the top I was looking out towards the track and I could see some scUM bag passed out in the grass with a Tom Brady jersey on.

I'm guessing it is the green. Actually just today I saw a clip of voters in Pennsylvania and I see a guy with this green jacket. Thought it might have been MSU based on the color, but then he turned and I saw the Iggles logo.

BTW, my mom's cousin, a Spartan grad, lives in Northern Delaware. He's well into his 80s, so I don't know how much they get out and about and represent. But you're not alone.
