I actually agree with some of this. "Defund the Police" triggers most. "Redirecting funds to social programs" doesn't. So... why use it?
Obama is the best thing since sliced bread (even though he was unable to fix the tax issues)...
Anyone with a podcast should be automatically thought suspicious. It the progressive equivalent of the AM radio for Rs. They need to generate "feelings" to fill hours and hours of hot air per week.

You realize that the House voted on the bill a few weeks ago, right? And that about 38 (?) Dems voted against it at that time? Do you want them to be hypocrites? You already have a handful of hypocritical Dems on this issue, as more Dems voted to veto Trump than to approve the bill in the first place.

Of course, several Republicans also flipped their vote, but we know that many of them just do whatever Trump tells them.

True. It just seems odd, military is a working class job for many including a lot of minorities. We can have a debate about our military spending and endless wars but to deny a raise doesn't sit well with me. True. It just seems odd, military is a working class job for many including a lot of minorities. I have more respect for those who stuck by their original position, than those who changed simply because Trump vetoed it.

And there is more in it than just a pay raise (or the points about base names, section 230, and shell companies). Those aren't what they opposed, and it is disingenuous (and sadly, typical political posturing) to use a couple of minor parts of a bill to bash people for voting against it, even though everyone knows it is something else that they oppose in the bill. It's one of my pet peeves with politics that both sides do.

I'm pretty pro-military and pro-military spending, but I understand progressives disagree and have no problem with their opposition to bills. Those voices are important to keep it somewhat in check.

A good flick that demonstrates the toxic ego driven aspects of the far left and how successful they can be at creating divisiveness and shooting their selves in their own foot. I forgot about the ego driven leaders that saw the tragic death of RFK as a window of opportunity to get some momentum going for the movement.

Worth watching for Cohen’s performance of Abbie Hoffman and captures the spirit of the conflict between the two Hoffman’s.
