Few details. Feel free to speculate.

Depends on what they announce.
Could be something as simple as out of conference scheduling and/or bowl matchups.

ESPN's on the case. They have their paid SEC mouth Paul Fienbaum saying the B1G/PAC12/ACC alliance discussions shows desperation.
I suspect ESPN doesn't like the potential future of their College programming.

A combined ACC/B1G/PAC network could freeze ESPN out of a lot of college football. [shrug]

Paul Finebaum was throwing big shade on this last week. Guess why? I had Dakich on the radio and he interviewed Mark Packar? Anyway they were asking how come the SEC writers and sycophants were up in arms about this possible alliance. Hmmmmm wonder why. I’m for it if it screws espn and the SEC even a little.

They could also freeze the SEC out of non-conference games.

I'm open to change and there's definitely room for improving the season. The scheduling has been atrocious and the conference has been diluted by expansion.

I don't get how ESPN benefits specifically from the SEC over other conferences. The ACC Network is ESPN and the SEC's biggest game every week is on CBS.

We've got a ways to go before any of this really means anything.
Not sure adding OU and Texas to the BigTen would be all that great for Michigan State. Just like it won't be great for teams like Tennessee, Auburn, etc.
If major schools break away to form their own division/league (separate from the NCAA), seems like it will include the SEC, ACC, B10, and Pac 12 (however they align themselves or create alliances with each other).

Strategically, it makes sense and is a good move for the BIG/ACC/PAC12. If we can get some kickass PAC12 and ACC games out of it, that would be sweat good.
But compared to the SEC move it is definitely a 'zzzzz' for me. They are trying hard to make is a big deal and countering SEC announcements with their own. Gotta stay relevant in the media. A couple of days ago the SEC announced a new deal with SEC. A day later the BIG/ACC/Pac12 announced, 'we got shit coming too!'. Wake me when you have something concrete to report. But it is good media fodder. College football fans love conference and playoff talk.

IDK where Stache gets his info, but great. As matter of fact, bring K State and then we can kick RU and Maryland out.

Heard speculation that it's all about (setting up) the next TV deal. Having ACC/Big Ten and Pac12/Big Ten nonconference match ups will generate more revenue.

Whether the Big Ten is ahead right now is immaterial. Things are changing. Big Ten and Pac12 deals expire in 2024. An alliance set up now to provide better programming (non conference match ups) later is the driving force. If ESPN/ABC are all in on the SEC, the Alliance can create multiple bidders (among CBS, NBC, Fox, and streaming services) for the rights.

It'll be interesting to see if they negotiate a 3 conference mega-package with equal distribution for all or continue with each of the 3 negotiating separately. If everybody's getting the same $$$ there's not much incentive to jump or poach.

I love the rivalry game between the two greatest land grant schools, which is why the trophy is so confusing. It does look like a phone. It's so damn ugly. The trophy does not match the game.
