Re: Student Numbers?
I swear mine was 6 digits, prefixed with the last digit of the year I started, like 8xxxxx for 1978. My ID is around here somewhere...

Given a 40k plus enrollment, so about 10 k per year, that puts you about 5 years behind me.

Pretty sure have my student ID card somewhere here but damn if I know where it is.Floyd Robertson wrote:I swear mine was 6 digits, prefixed with the last digit of the year I started, like 8xxxxx for 1978. My ID is around here somewhere...
However, have my transcript. The number is 07-XXXXX. IIRC the card dropped the leading zero and the hyphen and only showed as 6 digits.

Did they have to chisel it into the stone tablet vertically or did it fit horizontally?

Me with the student id card on the left and I don't remember what the other two were, maybe one was the menu for El Az.

If you’re A11 and I’m A09, I came before you. Heh. Put another way, you’re behind me.
Edit: Nvm. I got you and Gus mixed up. You’re still behind me, though.

I think they added the A to the beginning and 1 to the end of everyone's when they switched from quarters to semesters in the fall of 92.
Like most of you, I can still rattle mine off without having to think about it. It surprised me that it sprang to mind right away when seeing this thread, despite me not even thinking about the number in 25 years.

Only one blue book final I remember. Econ & Business History 242. Prof had a reputation for being a major dick...he was. Had to do more reading for that class than any 4 other classes combined. Felt fortunate to get out with a 3.0
