Especially after a loss last week, I'm so much more thankful for this place and no one irrationally freaking out. I'm even thankful for our trolls, who are still rational about sports.

My wife was talking to her sister yesterday who is home alone for Thanksgiving since her son, dil and granddaughters went out of town for the weekend. I thought I'd check to see if there's any cheap last minute flights to get her up here for the weekend. I found one for not too bad of a price but thought I'd check a little more and found nothing. Came back to book the flight and the price had jumped to over $2000. Needless to say she's not spending the weekend with us.

Thanksgiving is canceled at my family’s house as the hosts came down with fevers last night. Home tests were negative, so that’s good, but still. Better to be safe. It actually works out okay because we were going to my in laws as well, so now I’ll just stick to one instead of trying to do both

My father-in-law is coming over, 85 on steroids, not in the greatest health. As well as my 84-year-old mother and 82-year-old mother-in-law. My daughters their boyfriends and my wife and I all did those in-home Covid tests just to be sure. We’re all vaccinated and I have a booster. So, it was the first time I did one. I had to wait 10 minutes to see if A blue stripe showed up. if it did , that meant you were positive, same with my wife. Funny, I was 99% sure we weren’t, but it’s pretty interesting the anxiety one gets waiting those 10 minutes
