You're twice as likely to die in the next decade if you're unable to balance on one foot for 10 seconds, according to a new study. Conversely, the study suggests that your ability to balance on one foot points to longer life expectancy.

But there are easy exercises to improve your balance, so you can improve your odds even as the Lions falter.

Used the cheat I was taught at MSU youth coaching camp. Lightly grab the earlobe opposite of the foot you’re standing.
North of 60 and two rounds of COVID so there’s hope.

Stand on one leg holding your foot behind you. Standard warmup for a lot of running sports.
Of course we all got to do every stretch and drill. About 50% of us couldn't stand for more than 4-5 seconds. Then the instructors told us to use the free hand on the ear lobe and like magic almost all of us got steady real quick. Worked with young kids too.
Gentle pull on the ear lobe straightens your neck so you aren't tilting towards the foot you are grabbing.
