If you're gonna do Superior there minus well hit Devil’s Washtub. Pretty wild place when the lake gets rough. According to my parents and grandparents there were sometimes blocks of ice still in it in August. Shouldn't have that issue mild as last winter was.

Long as you're up there checkout Brockway Mountain Drive. Nice drive in the summer...beautiful in the fall.

So it only counts if I jump in volcanic wash pool - that may or may not still have ice and waves that can crush my skull - at the northern most part of mainland Mi?

Make sure to stop at The Jampot in Eagle Harbor. Their thimbleberry jam is expensive but the best jam I ever had. Think I still have an unopened jar in the pantry. Like it best on buttered sourdough English muffins.

Surprised they allow e-bikes at all, but it’s tied to the ADA. 20+ years ago the island elders wanted to ban motorized wheelchairs.

When did they do that, the early 00's maybe? It was ridiculous and I always thought it was the city of EL and their strict renters rules which forced that play....(of course, before the city council decided the city building boom was a good thing)

The plan to annex the property was the City Manager's idea and he sold it to council. He actually believed the move would "recapture" the neighbors where students were living. Think the 100 blocks of Stoddard, Gunson, Division etc. He thought young single families would buy those homes from the slumlords.

Instead of recapturing, those slumlords leased the homes to transients rather than MSU students. It backfired in every conceivable way.
