Benjamin List is quite generous but David MacMillan is not.
I've only met Carolyn Bertozzi a couple of times but she always seemed eager to give others credit.

I don't get that vibe. He's a car guy. Might even have a Pontiac Vibe in the back of his warehouse of vehicles.tGreenWay wrote:The Pantry wrote:

Re: Your favorite celebrities
He was an Everyman comedian for years. I saw him in a worn down old hockey rink in Windsor on an Easter weekend in the early 90s. Wife and I sat in the penalty box watching him lol. He was on a tiny elevated stage at center ice. People kept walking up to him during his routine to take a picture of him. He usually stopped talking, took their camera, and took an extreme closeup of himself and another pic of the camera owner. He seemed genuinely happy to do it and didn’t mind the constant interruptions.

One of the best stories in our family, was the night that picture was taken. My dad was at ease with paupers and kings. Once when Nick Saban was yelling at everybody, because it was freaking raining at football camp, we were all scared shitless, but later that afternoon when my dad drove down to watch the camp, before we went out, he walked through the building, and Saban’s office door was open, and my dad’s was sitting in his office, and he actually had his feet up on his desk, and they were both laughing. He also is known for inviting the Custodian‘s of our high school over to the house for beer and pizza in the Monday night football game. He was just that kind of guy
So when he got Tonight Show tickets, one year from a friend who set him up with preferred guests and got them into the front row that night, when Jay Leno came out to warm the crowd up before the show started, my dad was dumb enough to heckle him from the front row. As the story goes, my mom said Leno, for 10 solid minutes absolutely ripped my dad a new asshole. The crowd was laughing so hard, my mom said she was crying. She was laughing so hard. My dad was stupid enough to yell something out to a professional comedian on his show. After he left the stage and the crowd was waiting for the show to start and Leno to go change, Leno sent for my mom and dad and they got backstage, and he shook my dad’s hand and said no hard feelings, and that’s when this picture was taken. It’s a pretty cool, family memory.

Great pic and story. Leno was pretty good playing Joe on Last Man Standing after he retired. Obviously didn't need the money and just doing it for fun. Good dude IMO.
Might have posted this before. My ex-BIL was a guest on Late Night many years ago. Letterman took it easy on him. The crowd was laughing without his help.
