I saw Izzo and Lupe at the Bath Meijer this morning around 9am. They sure didn't look like they knew anything about this. I just read that the shooting happened around 4am

Honestly, it’s like we’re cursed. This summer when my daughter went to New Zealand for a masters program with other Spartans, in a country known for keeping guns at bay , a gunman opens fire in a place that wasn’t too far from where they had just been. After last February. Her host family kind of joked, “I guess you guys are used to this.” FFS.

I saw the story on fox news online. Typically I don't read it, but I'll look occasionally. They had the story about this. I scrolled to the comments. Just straight up racist garbage. I didn't see a single post wishing him a healthy recovery or anything positive.

It used to be if you played less than 30% of the schedule (and were injured), you could get a redshirt year. No idea if that's still the rule, but we wouldn't play enough games for him to get under 30%. I'd guess the NCAA would give him a waiver (if he doesn't return in a couple of months).

Yeah who knows. Maybe Izzo can work something out with Oakland. Transfer Fears to Kampe till March, Rocket Transfers to MSU, both say they had covid in February, Fears transfers back in March both him and Rocket get 7 years eligibility. Amirite?

I’m no doctor but if you’re digging into my bone to get a bullet out, is that only a 6 to 8 week recovery? Seems kind of Aaron Rodgersish type statement.

With the right diet and a darkness retreat, he should be good to go pretty soon.

Given the bullet got stuck in Fears’ bone, I wonder if they’ll take pictures in search of tiny fractures that could expand with activity*.

It’s important to point out that I, too, was once shot in the leg, and I missed no time in my sport nor in class. Granted, they were #6 pellets and we were rabbit hunting, but the shot went through my orange cold weather hunting bibs and through my jeans, and embedded on my leg just below the knee. Okay, none broke skin, but they left dimples and I was shot, motherfuckers! I am a badass!

Jesus loves guns according to the gun huggers who live around me. They say AR15’s and Glocks with high capacity magazines are needed to protect their homes.

If the Fears’household would have had a Bible thumping West MI arsenal at the ready maybe the gunman would have been found mortally wounded or dead.
