Fire Bill Belichick? He’s gone!
I was at a lot of holiday parties in Massachusetts and the future of Bill Belichick was on a lot of people’s minds. It’s a state divided. I know I’m an outsider but I think they should keep him. What say you swill? It’s time to talk about sports!

College is very pro. I agree with you izzo can write his own future. I feel like Bill should be able to as well. I have a feeling if he’s let go he ends up in Dallas and wins.

They did it. Never seen an NFL organization fire a grand slam hire.

He brought them a lot of success, but most of it depended on Tom Brady. When they let Brady walk, it was the beginning of the end. He'll ultimately be remembered for the 6 super bowl titles, but the game kind of moved on without him.

I have a feeling he ends up in Dallas. If McCarthy can’t get them to the Super Bowl he’s gone.

He'll want to go to a team with a pretty good QB. Not sure Belichick could co-exist with Jerry.

I think he is a brilliant defensive mind. Even this year's NE defense is among the League's best. However, overall, I think the coach with six rings is actually overrated. He was fired in Cleveland and has not been great in NE without Brady, including the 2008 season. So yeah, I agree. A lot of his success rested on Brady, who somehow became arguably the best NFL QB of all time.

In the end, he needed Brady more than Brady needed him. I do credit Belichick for building one of the most dominant teams in modern NFL history. They drafted well, and he almost always had the right staff to develop the talent on the roster (almost). Even when they were bad, they were still good. I don't know if whoever follows him will be able to recreate that level of success - once in a generation QBs don't come around all that often.

That's just it, I don't think he is the greatest coach of all-time. That is just my opinion. I won't argue with those who disagree. As I said, he has six rings and has an incredible mind for defense. So, the case for greatest of all-time can be made, too. I think the debate would be rather pointless.

One note, Brady was nowhere near the GOAT level until he played for New England. Does Bill get credit for developing him?

I guess Belichick decided to develop Brady and forgot John Friesz and Michael Bishop were on the roster in 2001.

I think he's a lock for the Falcons. Good pieces on offense. Decent defense. Easy division.
Trade with Chicago for the #1 overall, or trade for Fields.

My guess is that Fields stays because Eberflus does.

Maybe. They did fire their OC though. Not sure if that matters.
They're kind of in the same position they were last year. They don't know if Fields is their guy. They look like geniuses for not taking Young, but probably regret not taking Stroud. Will they pass on Williams? I'm thinking if the Falcons offer up the #8 pick for Fields, they jump on it.

They certainly would have a hold on this years draft if that happens.

Having the 1, 8, and 9 would be a pretty good draft.
Grab a QB, OT, and WR.

No Patriot drama.
This morning they named LB coach Jarod Mayo to succeed Belichick and becoming the HC after Belichick left was written into Mayo’s contract.

Falcons interview Michigan's Jim Harbaugh for coaching vacancy
He is the seventh coach to interview with the Falcons to replace Arthur Smith, who was fired Jan. 8 after three seasons on the job. Harbaugh joins Ravens defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald and assistant head coach Anthony Weaver, Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan, Carolina Panthers defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero, Niners defensive coordinator Steve Wilks, and Belichick as candidates for the role.

I don’t think he’s going to get a job in the nfl. He’s too weird and dishonest.

NFL HC's are a lot more closely controlled by the league office and the NFLPA will get involved a coach starts painting outside the lines.
At umma Harbaugh transformed Ward Manual into a eunuch.
Roger Goodell made an estimated $63M over the last two season. Snot nosed coach Jimmy Harbaugh will be under his thumb from day the Chargers contract is approved by the league office.

Warde literally cut Jimmy's salary in half. And he stayed.
