I’m getting the feelings not only aren’t the college protests organic but maybe there are some outside influences from countries that have no connection to the Israeli/palestinian/u.s. conflict.

I hope not but other than social media trouble makers, aka trolls, money contributed to the parent organization of the groups that the student chapters are part of would be the simplest support.

Look. It’s fine to say that the only thing you care about is Biden being reelected. It’s fine.

The reality is though, if he loses, it won’t be because of scary foreign influences or dark channels influencing protesters, or something otherwise nefarious. It will be because there were obvious warning signs that he was in a weak position more than a year ago and his own arrogance and that of democrats decided to push through with him anyway instead of him stepping aside and letting others, who wisely didn’t want to go up against an incumbent with their one crack at the egg, take the mantle.

Yes, they would be. You used names. I don’t need to. Generic Democrat A would beat Trump by 10 points relatively easily. That’s all they needed to do and your fears would have been alleviated

You are so close Joe. Almost there, just play it out in your head a little further.

The barrage for Biden didn’t start today. It started 4 years ago. That’s the problem. There have been “I did that” stickers going on gas pumps for years. Fjb flags being printed. Slogans, opinion engineering, Hannity every night for 4 years all of it attacking Biden. It takes a toll. If they couldn’t pinpoint who was running for the democrats until a few months before the election, as was the case in 2020, then it’s a lot harder to get people’s buy in’s on things like that. It feels forced, comical almost. People don’t believe it. They do believe the things about Biden, fairly or unfairly.

Not to mention the number of people just wishing they had a choice that didn’t feel like a rerun of the last 2 elections that would run away from either Biden or Trump if either party had the stones to try something new.

That’s a good point. Biden got like 8 million more votes than Trump.  Maybe he isn’t as weak as we think and it’s the electoral system is the real problem.

It means exactly what I posted above trap. Generic Democrat would be winning easily. There are maybe 4 people who have been the target of the machine and as a result are the only ones in the entire country that could lose to Trump- Biden, Clinton, Obama, pelosi. Nominate nearly anyone else, anyone, and they’d easily win. Instead dwags is convinced that Trump will be President again and he might be right.

Turnout in elections is always the key.

Clinton lost in 2016 because her campaign didn't build a GOTV organization in the swing states.

WOTS is that the Biden campaign has been working on that for over a year, now, and the Republican-Trump campaign hasn't started yet.

Supposedly the Clinton campaign has voter lists so out of date they were turning out Trump supporters to vote.

Generic candidates will usually always poll higher than a defined candidate.

The last generic I saw showed a generic D up 46-40. That’s not an overwhelming number once you’re able to drill down on the nominee.

It also showed that a generic R would be 48-37 against Biden. Hopefully that shows more R’s are apathetic to Trump.

I’m trying to be polite some people here still really really believe that she was a great politician (notably I think she would have been a good administrative type leader but that’s not the same thing as being a good politician)

W was probably not a great President, but he’d be fun to have a drink with, maybe hang out with for the weekend.

I don’t think I could talk to Hillary for more than 5 minutes, but she’d have probably been a decent President.

After decompression I'm not so sure she would have been anything better than an average President, though she would have been better than Trump.

She was smart & tough, but so was Hoover.

A big part of being President is being able to lead through rhetoric, and that was her weakness.
