Also the Raiders open play against the Lions on Thursday. I love watching preseason games where our young guys get to play. And it's great they're playing the Lions because it will be televised here. Couldn't care less about the Lions but Cook is still battling EJ Manuel for the QB2 job and Shilique should play a lot.

Connor Cook, Shilique Calhoun and the Raiders hosting some team from Detroit at 10:30. In the Detroit market the game is on Channel 2. Elsewhere it will air on NFL Network (212 on DirecTV). Cook should play a lot and has been lighting it up in camp.

Um he looks really REALLY good. Way more confident than last year. He knows the system and is comfortable.

Shilique is on the top ST units but appears to be buried on the D depth chart. Mack is out and now they're into the 2s and he hasn't been on the field. Not great for his chances to make the team.

It started up here then cut out to a blackout....this after DISH promised me today that wouldn't happen. They're in a pissing match with the Fox station up here so it's off the air and has been for months.

It sucks because I can't solve it with an antenna, you need a big tower up here to get anything over the air.

Why did the Lions hire Pavarotti to coach?

I'm a firm believer that the Lions franchise won't break the curse until all WCF ties are broken. Why are they still wearing his patch? Hasn't it been 2 years? Patch needs to go and Martha needs to move on.

I agree with wbh the lions will suck until the fords sell but firing Caldwell still is one of the stupidest moves ever. Seriously he was the best coach behind Wayne Fontes in my life time.
