Let’s face it guys, the run we had gave us more enjoyable moments than many fanbases have in a lifetime.

TWTS
Cousins to nicols
Back up QBs at OSU
Baylor comeback
“It’s a fake!” ND
Stanford stand
Oregon night game
Monsoon at Michigan

I’m missing some. But damn that was fun.

Are we sentenced to wandering in the desert, injuries, and turnovers for the next couple of decades?

I hope not. But it seems to be what’s happening.

Are you basing this off a first year coach rebuilding a team with a true freshman qb and apparently no OL?

I’m basing it off of me being drunk, watching this game by myself in the living room and being depressed

Take solace that you're not alone.  I too am drinking alone watching this game, but I get more upset with basketball than football.

I’m concerned the changes to CFB are beyond our ability to adapt enough to play with the country’s best teams. It might mean a return to the middling teams of my younger years. Eddie Smith/Kirk Gibson years being the exception.

Smith's team building philosophy is concentrate on the lines.

Even with 5-star recruits, unlikely, it takes a couple of years to build up a good line.

I always think that JLS was underrated as a recruiter and overrated (before MSU) as a game time coach.

CMD walked into a much better situation than Smith has.

I am liking what I am seeing on how the team has been playing, but yesterday the wheels came off on both lines, and their line play is a big part of the reason IU is 9 - 0
