The 2009 game at Ohio State was absolutely a Big Ten championship game. The winner of that game was going to Pasadena and claiming the conference hardware.

I Google-imaged MSU and Iowa football, and that was the first image that had both of the helmets. It was taken from an msu.edu website, so they are the ones to answer that question. But yes, the Tigerhawk is backward.

Honestly I don't see Iowa beating MSU. I'll get that out of the way right now. MSU is the team to beat in the Big Ten, imo. Too many weapons wearing green, but I do like how this team is shaping up to be play Ferentzball: really strong lines, stable running backs, mediocre WRs, reliable QB, and whole helluva lot of TEs.
