Thoughts on the Green team: This Green team has a myriad of proven talent and Tyler O'Connor has a ton of weapons on the offensive side. They have the clear #1 RB with Langford with #1 FB Pendleton blocking the way. The wideout core boasts every returning player who saw significant playing time last season besides Burbridge (and obviously Kings who isn't playing). Honestly very surprised Lippett and Mumph were both put on Green with Jakubik being the White SR wideout. Not sure how the first pick is determined but my guess is that Cook and his top two targets being on separate teams could be by design. Regardless that's a hefty advantage for Green right out of the gate. As far as the players go both teams have a good mix of talent IMO. Add TE first pick Lyles to the seasoned Gleichert and the White team will have their hands full with the air attack. Green also has the benefit of 6 OL to White's 5. Wouldn't be surprised if Coach D did something during the game to even this out a bit but if not that's a nice luxury for Green. On the defensive side Green is anchored by Calhoun, T. Jones and Waynes. Joining them are starters Knox and Harris with spring stars Frey, Thomas, Cox and Powell.
Thoughts on the White team: First things first, White has Cook. Green definitely has more weapons at other offensive positions, but Cook has proven he has no problems spreading the ball around to anyone that puts on a jersey. Burbridge was the top WR taken in the draft and Arnett has become (reportedly) a more consistent, well-rounded WR. Price is a reliable receiving TE and combined with Chmura and Sokol, White could have a strong TE group. Conklin and Jackson provide leadership to the OL but with only 5 lineman with one of them being a walk-on with zero playing experience, Green definitely has the edge in this category. Defensively the line should be a major strength. Rush, Cooper, Heath and Clemons make a real strong front 4. The LBs are unproven but legacies Bullough and Reschke are both primed to earn playing time in '14. The DBs may be the top group on White with Drummond, Hicks and Williamson leading the way.
Overall White doesn't have as many penciled in starters but there is a ton of potential on this team. Green has a lot of playmakers on both sides of the ball but will also have an inexperienced QB leading the way. In the end I think Cook finds plenty of success with his unit but Green just has too much talent across the board. Tyler O'Connor may struggle at times but he has help everywhere on offense and a defense that should be able to keep White relatively in check.
Prediction: Green by a TD.

Re: Spring Game Predictions
Cook throws at least 2 INTs, we want Terry chants start. Green by 10.

Green because of the slight edge on offense.
