Big Ten issues public reprimand of Edsall, suspends Diggs one game

"The Big Ten office today issued a public reprimand of Maryland football head coach Randy Edsall and student-athlete Stefon Diggs and imposed a one-game suspension of Diggs for violating the Big Ten Sportsmanship Policy prior to the Penn State game on Nov. 1.

The Big Ten also determined that Diggs’ actions toward officials and opposing players before the game violated conference policy. Diggs will serve his one-game suspension on Nov. 15 against Michigan State."

"During the on-field skirmish during team warmups, Diggs was caught by broadcast cameras putting his hand in the face of an official. His actions violated conference policy, the Big Ten said.

Diggs would go on to make eight receptions in a 20-19 win, which moved the Terrapins to 6-3 and secured bowl eligibility. For the season, Diggs leads Maryland with 52 receptions for 654 yards.

Following an idle week, Diggs will miss Maryland's home matchup with No. 6 Michigan State on Nov. 15."

Someone needs to forward this to scUM so they can see how pre game smack works, then following it up with an actual win. (minus putting hands on officials).

All in all, I just prefer a post game celebration. Warm up pregame, get fired up with team mates, move on. Pregame stuff is too volatile, it can really backfire.

exactly. For all the bitching scUM babies did about state planting a flag......It was AFTER the game, AFTER they backed up any talk they did during the game.
