That explains a lot. I was going to ask how I get ads that are clearly re-targeted (i.e., ads from sites that have recently visited), but that explains it since I only notice that on my phone (and the site logs me off from my phone every day or so).

So maybe it's just asking for whether you're a registered user or not as a way to then present ads... I don't know. Those two programs appear to be asking for information every time I'm on swill though.

Not necessarily.  I think it has more to do with having 1,492 asynchronous calls to load ads, which then signals the page load complete, then runs a shit ton of jquery/javascript to flag read/unread threads and probably more, but I might be wrong.
