I think it's a regional thing. Most southerners call it dressing while northerners refer to it as stuffing. Also where it's at when you cook it. Pan or bird. Most have similar recipes. I like my moms. We called it stuffing even though it was cooked in a pan

You are so wrong about Americans. Seriously. It's probably just because you don't get to celebrate thanksgiving so you're real super jealous. As for the best way to make stuffing- I usually just buy as many mcchickens as I can, extra mayo and jam those in the turkey.

My mom uses chorizo, dried cherries and ghost cheese in her recipe. It's probably my favorite part of the meal.
