MSU isn't going to pay the handlers. Until Izzo hangs it up MSU isn't going to pay recruits. Duke invented the creative payoffs, Kentucky and Kansas refined it.

Oh....and swags to respond to your Rcmb thread heres my plan:

3 to 5 years ago I would have not recruited any of the upperclassmen besides Valentine. Seeing how Dawson has regressed every year I would have passes on him as well but that one is hindsight in a way but it's still beyond clear he has minimal basketball sense.

I would have also not wasted any time on the one and dones and only focused on matt trannon, Charlie bell, drew neitzel and Andre Huston clones regardless of height and crooting stars.

Outside of that, I have no suggestions for this dumpster fire other than turn the keys over to the under classmen and Valentine

This team seems to be regressing. After the Duke loss, I thought "Man, we only lost by 10 to these guys. There's a lot of potential here." After Kansas, I thought the same thing.

The ND game had me bothered, but I figured with almost a month before conference play that we'd iron things out with the cupcakes, but then Texas Southern happened and this most recent loss happened.

This season hasn't really been a great display of coaching by Izzo, and the last couple seasons haven't been great, either. Whether it's in-game stuff or recruiting, something needs to change if we want to annually remain in the discussion with Kansas, Kentucky and Duke.

Wouldn't mind if we did. Yeah, it's cool to win with honor, but as long as the NCAA allows what schools like Kentucky does to go on without penalty, then we're not going anywhere with the recruits Izzo needs to bring that third national title to MSU.
