The NFL isn't about making the playoffs.  It's about the Draft.

By losing, the Falcons get the #8 pick.  The Panthers had the #21 pick.  By beating the Cardinals, the Panthers have moved back to at least the #25 pick.  They are so dumb.

This way, the Falcons can completely botch a pick at #8, instead of waiting around.
