Newly tattooed Derrick Nix enjoyed D-League experience -- until payday
AUBURN HILLS -- Derrick Nix wears a new tattoo arched over his right eyebrow that reads "Perfectly Flawed," accompanying one over his left brow reading "Love."
Those also might serve as apt descriptions of the former Michigan State player's experience last season with the NBA Development League's Grand Rapids Drive.
He had love for the basketball.
The paychecks were perfectly flawed and the inability to earn a steady living wage is the only aspersion Nix casts upon his D-League experience.

If Forbes keeps it up, he'll definitely make the roster.

We flat out needed to sit appling. Looking how trice carried this team to a final four it wasn't out of the question.
Nonetheless our future couldn't be much brighter as izzo keeps stock piling his type of players
Once again you have hit the nail on the head. The Appling thing I still don't know what to make of. If that really was the case that he was so injured.... Trice proved himself more than capable the next year.
It's basically the same reason izzo sat forbs for 10 mins vs MTSU after one bad pass...sheer stubborness.
....and Davis has a foot problem. Gee, I wonder why one and dones avoid us....

I wonder how long that's been bothering him and if it impacted his workouts leading up to the draft?

Possible double whammy. I didn't think of that, might have been one factor in his draft position.

I think Deyonta was always going to end up in the D league for some development time, even if he went in the first round. All in all he still needs to earn his spot on an NBA roster, but this is definitely not a good start to that dream.

There's a summer league game between teh Bulls and Cs on NBA TV right now. Zel is in the game facing off against James Young. Been watching for 5 minutes, Zel has already thrown 2 no look passes (one resulting in a TO) and clanged a 3. He looks like he more than belongs, though.

Denzel is currently 2-11 from the field. Shooting is an adjustment for most rookies. Not sure why. I remember Gary Harris couldn't hit the ocean his rookie year either. Last year - much better.

Bryn Forbes started in the Spurs' 90-86 summer league win over the Kings today. 4 of 8 from deep, 15 points, 4 boards, 3 assists. Solid.

The Draymond Green Paradox
The heart and soul of the Warriors could also be their Achilles’ heel
At some point during last year’s playoffs, the Golden State Warriors went from lovable to unbearable. The same group that played the game with such joy over the last few years started playing with anger, picking fights and starting shit with other teams. With Steph Curry hobbled by a knee injury and unable to summon his usual magic, Golden State became Draymond Green’s team, and they started to reflect his personality on the court. The defining image of their playoff run wasn’t Curry effortlessly draining pull-up 3s from 30-plus feet, but rather Draymond treating opponents’ groins like punching bags.
The kicks to Steven Adams’s crotch may not have been intentional, and LeBron James may have goaded Green into lashing out by stepping over him, but neither of those things means the NBA’s “three strikes and you’re out” policy is unfair. This takedown of Michael Beasley at the end of Golden State’s Game 3 loss to the Rockets in the first round speaks for itself. Green racked up enough flagrant foul points to be suspended for Game 5 of the Finals, and that’s when the Cavs began their improbable comeback from a 3–1 deficit.

What a stupid fuckin article...Curry THE FUCKING MVP of the league was hurt the whole series. Shit he was injured in the first round. Yet the Warriors still could have won with a play or two going the other way in the final minutes of game 7. Putting that on Day Day is ridicluous.
