My wife used to work with someone who could write backwards, in cursive. It was one of the weirdest things I have ever seen. At first I didn't believe it, thought she was just scribbling gibberish - but then you'd hold it up to a mirror and "Voila" you could read it clear as anything.
No idea how or why you would learn to do that, but it was impressive to watch - as it was very fluent and effortless when she did it.
