Lets see:

My lilSongstress signed up for a contest with Hard Rock cafe. If she is one of the top vote getters she will be one of 12 bands to battle it out at the Hard Rock Nashville for a chance to go to Barcelona and play for 60,000 people. Right now she has 2 votes hah. Me and some dude out of Munich that is Vote Hounding. But that also puts her in 48th place out of 153 acts. (update, approx. 30 votes)

I tried to find away around it but couldn't.. granted, I'm not the brightest bulb in the tanning bed so there could be another way to vote.

Nah, taking care of your business is primary... your daughter is in the beginning of a music career that needs to be managed. That is a double full time job, believe me I know.

It is challenging. The kid has school/music/work/family and trying to keep her on track, while trying to keep the oldest from going insane (Vet School interviews and graduation in May), and the 7 year old from driving MrsGB to the insane asylum.....it is tough to manage it all somedays.

I feel ya. I was in college at the time my calling came... obviously couldn't do both so I dropped out and it's worked well so far as it was my dream. Luckily it sounds like she' still able to do everything... at least until the touring part comes in. If it's her dream though... she'll make it happen. It all works out in the end... you're doing a great thing!

Thanks! We are fully prepared for the moment that she is too busy in Nashville and needs to drop out of college. Not only prepared for it, we are encouraging it and trying to help make it happen. She loves "the biz" and she is becoming quite good at what she does. I just hope that when the time comes, that Im not "too poor" for the biz. It sucks to say, but there are plenty of people who say it is not who you know, but how much money you have. And I dont have much!

(the Voice auditions are in Atlanta this weekend.....)
