I thought it did a great job outlining the climate that album came out of. Also, some of the dealings to get Easy to break the contract were pretty f'd up. Enjoy.

FINALLY watched this movie.. solid, it moved pretty quickly from start to finish, almost too fast. Most of the acting was good - it was obviously very bias towards the group but dre and cube produced the fucking movie.. Ice cube's son played him - enjoyed his role in particular. Got me listening to their album again, so it worked for them that way.

Yeah it was really well done. Too bad it didn't get some Oscar consideration. One of the better films released in 2015.

To me it came across that everyone was trying to hard. I don't know. I think the whole joint would make more sense as an HBO or Showtime docu series or something. That genre of music in an era that was evolving and exploding can't be crammed into a two hour movie. There were at least 4 sub plots that could have been their own movies.

Right - I didn't expect it to be some deep, thoughtful film, I was just answering Intensity's question. Straight Outta Compton could have been better, a slower pace would have done a lot of good IMO. I loved when Tupac and Snoop made appearances. Fuck I have to start listening to more rap.

I hate political memes that go viral on Facebook that usually make zero sense. They explain a lot about someone's thinking process, IMO - usually not in a positive light as they all have blatant ignorant agendas that don't really paint the truth.

Got it on the mems...IMO Tupac is one of Americas greatest poets. As were most of the OGs. That was probably the biggest point of the film. They were just telling their story as they personally witnessed it in real life. Strong stuff IMO

Ooh, Memento was great.

Negative? I said Straight Outta Compton was solid, it wasn't a great film but it was entertaining. Those two things are very different in my mind. A lot of the negativity you're referring to is in regards to the new Star Wars movies - those are fucking awful IMO. Entertaining? Maybe, sure for some.

We just have completely different taste - and that's okay.
