NBA Playoffs thread
Anyone watching?
New Orleans battling with Golden State in game 2. Their arena is rocking. Anthony Davis will win MVP one day, Eric Gordon from IU looking good. 3 from downtown.
I got the Hawks in the east and warriors in the west.

Warriors vs. Cavs. This year's NBA is a lot better than it has been in recent years.

No. I grew up on the NBA. Product was bad for a while. But this year has been solid.
Edit: I only argued your contentions that this is the best it has ever been, and that today's best players are better than any group of players from any previous era.

Spurs still doin' work, leading the Clippers by 8. Tim Duncan is the man.
Hack-a-jordan seems to be working. They are fun to watch, the ball movement is beautiful. Go Spurs.

Warriors are my favorite team right now. Curry is just amazing. Green fits in so well there. Great Bball and great team. The fans there remind me of college fans, what an atmosphere.

I turned to the game just as it went final. Pissed at myself. I need to do a better job keeping track of the GSW schedule. Love watching that team.

I think him and Izzo are still pretty close. I'm pretty sure that Tom was at a playoff game or two last year to support him.Rocinante wrote:LooseGoose wrote:Spartan on Spartan violence offends me.

Had the Clippers @ Rockets on in the background while I got some studying done and still caught plenty of bad bad shots by Josh Smith. I wish he didn't do that, he would be a much better player.
He was 2/12. Clippers take Game 1 on the road.

I thought it was pretty clear. I don't consider Zach Randolph a Spartan. I had never heard what InTenSity said. What I remember is he didn't really like it at MSU and he couldn't wait to get the fuck out and he said some shitty things when he left. That's all.

You're thinking of Nick Saban.

I'm not trying to get an argument, just curious, do you have a link to these things he said when he left?
"He's gotten himself into a few jams," Michigan State coach Tom Izzo said. "But when he played for us, I loved him. I didn't like him, I loved him."
* * *
During the national championship game in 2000, Florida's Teddy Dupay fouled Michigan State's Mateen Cleaves from behind on a breakaway layup, spraining Cleaves' ankle. Cleaves, the team's senior point guard, limped to the locker room before returning to lead the Spartans to the title.
Randolph, a top-tier recruit, arrived the following fall. And when the two teams met again during the regular season, Randolph clocked Dupay with an elbow. It was not an example of terrific sportsmanship, but Randolph's teammates appreciated the significance: This was payback.
"He was a great teammate," said Jason Andreas, a center. "He always had your back once you proved you were there to be his teammate, too."

GS not looking good tonight. They've only lost 2 at home so far this year, but this is looking like #3 so far.

As soon as I say that, Draymond leads a break, then plays good D and forces Gasol into a TO. 8 point game with the 3rd winding down.

I'm rooting for GS, they have a chance to have a really special season, and be one of the top single season teams in NBA history. They need to have a good run through the playoffs to get there.

Re: NBA Playoffs thread
This game is over. GSW's first home loss in a long damn time. Memphis played their game tonight and dictated tempo. The Grizzlies want these games to be under 100, and they got that tonight. GSW needs a higher scoring, faster paced game.
