The chicken has to get considerably better before I eat there again. I rarely order fried chicken in the first place but on the unlikely occasion that I do, id get it from lees in Plymouth

Popeye's is solid, but I don't even think of the two as similar restaurants. KFC extra crispy is really good(especially after putting it in the fridge overnight) and goes great with mashed potatoes and gravy. The best thing at Popeyes are the spicy chicken strips and some of the weird sides.

We used to eat chicken quite a bit when on the road with the bikes and based on years of research our order for national chains was this:

Popeyes
Bojangles
Church's
Lee's Famous
KFC
