Question About The Great Outdoors (Movie)
So I caught a bit of The Great Outdoors over lunch, the scene where Chet (Candy) is trying to pull Roman (Akroyd) out of the hole his kids fell down. He pulls on the rope and instead of Roman he has pulled up a bear. Wouldn't you think he would assume the bear mauled Roman and his kids to death? Once he gets back to the cabin he doesn't seem relieved that Roman and his kids are in fact still alive. All he can say is, "Big bear chase me!"
This has been bugging me since I got back from lunch. It's a slow day.

He's running for his life. He doesn't have time to worry about those bratty kids.

Fair enough, those kids were pretty horrible. I wonder where they found someone that could translate raccoon?
