Re: Ask Bob Sak
it was good. thanks.Turtleneck wrote:Bob, how was your weekend?
Pretty laid back and quiet, actually - which is the way I like them. Windy on Saturday - slept in a bit on Sunday and then hit up Burchfield Park for some single-track riding. $1 Old Style day at Dagwoods.

it's an interesting turn of events that, I'm sure, drives the knuckle-draggin' yahoos at tRCMB absolutely insane.Giant Moose wrote:Bob, how do you feel about having your own subsection on tSwill?

what's up, dude..SBSpartan wrote:Hi Bob! Where the **** have you been?
I've been out of town for a bit.. then took some days off to do some spring clean-up around the Sakimano Estate.. mowing, stained the deck, etc. As you know, I don't post from home.. or very rarely - only when I'm needed.
Hope you're doing okay.

Now that I can openly say my thoughts in a friendly forum full of Spartans I am doing ok.....yes...ok.
Serious question - what should I do about my neighbor who doesn't think he has a weed problem? Meanwhile his yard is riddled with weeds and it's a giant pain in the ass trying to keep them from getting to my yard.

I'm not one of these folks who live in the neighborhoods where all the houses look the same.. ya know, really white people who drive SUV's, wear button-ups, play on iPhones, keep an eye on their stock portfolios, etc - and I certainly don't obsess about weeds in the yard...
I'm fortunate, though, that my neighbors on either side take good care of their lawns and gardens.. overgrowth has never been an issue and we all have a healthy respect for our various thoughts and ideas on lawn and garden maintenance.
I'd suggest you talk to your neighbor.. or possibly plant a row of dense vegetation along the property line to possibly keep the weeds from seeding over into your yard as much. Of course, they'll still creep that way but I suspect it could be minimized.

Re: Ask Bob Sak
I go with a Behr's stain.. I think it's "redwood" or something like that... it really makes the Sakimano Estate sparkle with life.Giant Moose wrote:Bob, any suggestions for deck stain?
