Air Force game to be at noon on ESPN or ESPN2
EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State's home game against Air Force on Saturday, Sept. 19 in Spartan Stadium will begin at 12 p.m. ET, the Big Ten Conference and ESPN announced on Friday. The game will be televised on either ESPN or ESPN2.
In addition to being the first meeting between the two teams, it will also mark the first time Michigan State has played host to a service academy in Spartan Stadium.
The Falcons went 10-3 last season and defeated Western Michigan in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. Michigan State defensive line coach Ron Burton spent 10 seasons as an assistant coach at Air Force (2003-12) before arriving in East Lansing. It will mark the first time MSU has played a service academy since losing to Army in the 1984 Cherry Bowl.
