Re: Great Americans
That sucks for Bob... those first two guys were horrible people.
I would have put you in much better company, if it were my thread, Bob.

But seriously, besides the whole sex with slaves scandal, what's the problem with W & J?

Re: Great Americans
Owning slaves while spouting the whole "all men created equal". And, of course, the raping of said slaves. I would imagine beatings occurred for the slaves in question. Jefferson, in particular, banging and impregnating "his" pre-teen slaves, so there's the whole pedophilia thing.
I've toyed with the idea of starting a thread loosely based on my views of the founding fathers and the concept of government (especially 'representative democracy') but then I remember how Wells usually ends up and figure it's best if I stick to stuff a little more conducive to the community's... limitations.
I do wanna adhere to your wishes and not go too far off the Wells deep end, though, RP... and was just trying to josh ya, a little. Carry on, though... Bob certainly is a great American and worthy of the attention.

I was under the impression that W & J were relatively "good" to their slaves. No?
Anyway, let's just build on the list, worthy of Bobby Sak.
