Not buying it. I think he was playing through an injury and an ugly divorce his last year in Detroit. He got sick of hearing from the fans and wanted out.

Rangers are +21 wins over last year. Fielder is looking poised to go to his 3rd ALCS. Last three complete seasons he's played he's been an all star, has been one of the top hitters and has been a major contributor in helping his team win the division.

I know Tigers fans can't stand him, but Prince is a really good ball player.

Just got home, turned on the game and first thing I see is 6 umpires talking. In 2-2 game thought shit this isn't good. Unbelievable play. Crazy shit and near riot in Toronto. This is going to get ugly.

As I type this David Price just got ejected.

Umps got it right, take your medicine Toronto. This is like Shea in 72 when Yogi had to go around the stadium and get the fans to stop throwing bottles.

This is the craziest fucking inning I've ever seen. 3 errors in a row, and bases loaded.

Please, Canada is loaded with pussies. And that has nothing to do with this situation...

David Price should hand Dombrowski a box of Cuban cigars for making the trade.  ( I suspect we will see a Price as a Cub next season after what happened in game 4 vs Texas.)

Prince Fielder again showed he isn't a post season player.  In the 5 games vs the Jays he went 3 for 20.  Strange that a guy can hit for power and average throughout his career and consistently disappears in October.

Quick trip over to baseball reference shows Prince in 2011

NLDS BA .278 1 HR 4 RBIS 3 BB OBP .381 SLG .566
NLCS BA .200 2 HR 3 RBIS 4 BB OBP .360 SLG .600

Pretty good numbers. He is what he is. He no doubt struggles in the post season.

Last 4 complete seasons he's played NLDS, WS, ALCS, NLCS and part of division champs all 4 seasons.

Texas has improved by 21 wins this season over 2014.

Fielder is like A Rod. I hear Yankee fans call him out for being terrible in the post season all the time. Yeah, true but the question is do you want his numbers during the regular season that will get you to the post season.

You need players like Fielder to get you into the post season but what do you do in the post season. Let him play the first game and if he doesn't go 2/4 sit him?

Rangers put a pinch hitter in for him game 2 I believe. Other than that I have no idea.
