Mallet was recruited by Lloyd Carr. That's the reason Mallet was ever in aa.

RichRod came in and he liked QB's 6 ft and under who could run. At 6' 6" 230-240 that wasn't Mallett. Mallet transferred to Arkansas and had a couple of seasons as a starter.

Mallett is a flake. He got nailed for DUi's in college and he went from 1st round to beng a 3rd rd draft choice after the combines.

Helluva it is New England cut Hoyer and made Mallet the #2 behind Brady and a few years later Hoyer is starting in front of him. But then Hoyer doesn't oversleep or miss team planes because of traffic.

Kinda saw this coming.  Guessed they didn't think it was a coincidence that every time Hoyer is named the starter Mallett suddenly can't get anywhere on time.  

The hate for Mallett here is kind of odd though.  He's a Wolverine like Nick Foles is a Spartan.
