I ate a lot of cabbage last night, and now
my stomach won't STFU.
My question to you is this: Do I need to stay near the toilet, or are these rumblings a sign that I'll be crop-dusting the neighborhood for several hours (sorry Bob)?

I hope that's true. It would be epic to pay back my dog for the thick wall of farts she laid on me last night.

Nothing I enjoy more than Cabbage farts in a family car on a trip. Better than the filterless pall mall's my dad used to smoke with the windows rolled up when we were kids.
I hope you let others in on the fun tGreenWay

Just a follow-up on the events of yesterday: Despite stomach rumblings - the likes of which have not been heard in these parts in years - the promise of Bob's house (and all of West East Lansing) being consumed by a thick shroud of GreenWay cabbage farts never came to fruition.
The entire non-event was a big disappoint. Police are allowing the displaced to return to their homes. Bob will catch up to his family shortly, as he is still eating his cookie and red bug juice at the American Red Cross temporary shelter.

What about the important stuff? Were there protests? Were resignations offered to appease them?tGreenWay wrote:DWags wrote:Nothing I enjoy more than Cabbage farts in a family car on a trip. Better than the filterless pall mall's my dad used to smoke with the windows rolled up when we were kids.

Well, as you can see in his tirade below your post, Bob was a pissy little bitch about the entire episode. Once Mayor Triplett convinced him to exit his dwelling, for the good of the community, Bob insisted on a police escort to surround his and his family's bike ride to the temporary housing.
As a result of this horrific inconvenience, Bob is lashing out at everyone involved with his own idea of a non-violent protest: He's already raked his fallen leaves into the street for pickup by the Public Works Department, knowing full-well that the City asks residents to rake leaves only to the curb.
Personally, I think he's being an asshole about it.

oh - and the streets have been a wreck lately with everyone raking their mounds of leaves onto the curb - today's winds are going to send them into the drain systems creating all kinds of havoc.

Truthfully, that vote surprised the hell out of me. There was a lot of blowback from the Chsmber mailer, voters who went for Eryk Altmann simply because the Chamber isolated him. Having Mark run also was a killer for Triplett.

I had planned to clean my eavestrophs yesterday, but bagged the idea when I heard the forecast. No point in cleaning out the leaves when this weather is just going to fill them up again.
I've only driven once this a.m. Wasn't too bad. I'm sure it's much worse now.

I was a bit surprised too. I think that the EL electorate saw through the mailings and corporate backing.tGreenWay wrote:Robert J Sakimano wrote:

This thread got me craving cabbage so I picked up a head on the way home.
After getting home remembered I have a meeting tomorrow at a clients office. Now, I'm not sure if I should tempt fate and cook the cabbage tonight or wait until the weekend.

Actually, I did not. What I did do was violate his air quotes.. Nobody should ever be allowed to use those.

We're going to need an after-action report. In fact, please make arrangements to record the entire meeting.
