Pitt OC joining Kirby Smart in GA

Narduzzi lost his OC today when Jim Chaney got hired by Georgia's Kirby Smart.

In other news Tulsa's OC Gilbert finally agreed to become the OC at Texas

Hopefully he gets a good one. Wonder if one of our position coaches takes the jump up to OC. Maybe Salem.

Reading tea leaves Narduzzi hired Chaney for his offense and knowledge of SEC recruiting. Beilema had replaced Chaney with Enos last January. Chaney had been at Arkansas for 2 seasons and had been the OC at Tennessee for 4 seasons prior to being at Arkansas.

With Georgia and its big coaching budget, Narduzzi wasn't in a position to match salaries, prestige or recruiting cache of Georgia.

Don't know who Narduzzi will hire but he seems to be a coach like Dantonio where he has his big picture system where part of the offenses job is to have drives long enough so the defense isn't spending too much time on the field.

Maybe Treadwell would go to Pitt.

Has anyone thought of maybe Treadwell joining back up with Nardawg???

Treadwell was available when Narduzzi took the Pitt job. He was RB coach at Kent in '14 and OC/QB coach at Kent in '15.

Paul Haynes hired n '12 is still Kent HC.  
Don Treadwell is still listed as OC/QB coach

Treadwell might be available. Isn't he at Kent State? It'd be like putting the band back together.

I think he is at Kent State but it has yet to be verified.
