Might as well put this here. I think we saw Tum Tum come out in the second half and realize that we don't have Denzel as a leader. He started QB'in the team in my opinion like we need to be Qb'ed. I also think our young guys have a long way to go. Real rookie mistakes down the stretch. I wonder if they make less if Valentine is out there.

This team is deep and they have some real scorers. Izzo will have to teach them about intensity for defense and rebounding. We need them to step up. When Costello gets tired his shots are so short. Davis tends to disappear right now. He needs to get more aggressive during crunch.

Just my amateur opinion

We learned that they can gut out a win against a good team without Valentine in the lineup. I think it's a blessing in disguise. The injury will force everyone else to step up. I think they'll get better and we'll be really deep come tournament time.

Davis didn't play a whole lot in the 2nd half. For some reason Tom preferred Goins tonight. When Goins fouled out Davis came in and made a bunch of impact plays. Davis is the most advanced big man of the Izzo era. Love his game.

Davis did make some impact plays on offense. Oakland's big had also fouled out by then.

So you truly believe Goins is a better option than either schilling or Clark at this point? You also agree arhens should have gotten any minutes like duffy and the rest of the bonar brigade in this thread??

I believe that Davis will eventually be getting some of Costello's minutes. I believe that Schilling is still working his way back into game shape. I believe that Izzo knows more about his team than any of us ever will, and I believe I'll trust him to make the right substitutions.

Wolly is now behind Costello, Schilling, Davis, Clark and Goins. He may be behind Bess too....so there has to be HUGE foul trouble for him to get minutes now.

I've been impressed by Schilling so far, he seems to have taken a step forward.

If you don't think Goins deserves minutes you did not watch the Lousville game. He looked like the only guy that came to play that day and earned his minutes for future games.

This is true, but I was surprised he was throwing the inbounds pass with .04, not that it mattered in the end.
