Michael Sam Draft Pick: I'm officially creeped out.

I'm not someone who is creeped out by homosexuality, and I have a couple of gay friends. With that being said, was anyone really creeped out by the camera shot of Michael Sam making out with his small white boyfriend after he was drafted?

I understand the need to open doors, but that was a bit much.

If Sam could help my football team I wouldn't care about his sexual preferences but this "historic" overkill is what drives me nuts. Accept it and move on.

And of course HIS decision to make out on national TV will be celebrated as progress even as he sets his cause back.

Tebow wasn't vilified, he was told to STFU already, because it was non-stop. Sam never spoke about it while playing, and doesn't try to "convert" anyone.

Great point. It was very courageous of Tim Tebow to be the first NFL player to openly acknowledge his Christianity.

Sam's speed was less than stellar. He ran a 4.9 Forty, 17 bench press and 25 1/2" vertical.

Max Bullough 4.71 Forty / 30 bench press and 31" vertical as a MBL.

To me Sam was a good SEC player for the college defenses Mizzou faced. Looked great in college but will be too slow and weak to compete in the NFL.

Tim Tebow is very public about his faith, won a Heisman , won two NC's and was an All American. Sam is open about his homosexual life style and was the SEC Defensive POY. But Tebow couldn't find a home as an NFL starter and I suspect with Sam's measurables his career will be even shorter than Tebows.
