Going to see Bad Company and Joe Walsh at Red Rocks in May
Don't know too much about either outside of their main shit.. but the venue alone should be amazing. Anyone been Bad company or Walsh? Red Rocks?

Wait until OTPT posts about the Barbra Streisand concert he plans to attend...then it really will be 1978.

I was never a big Walsh fan other than some of his James Gang stuff. Was a big Bad Company fan because I liked Free and Mott the Hoople. Saw Bad Company back in '79 at Jenison, never saw Walsh to my recollection. What you're going to see is the 2 of the original members of BC, Boz Burrell is dead and Mick Ralphs decided to skip this tour for health reasons. So Paul Rogers and Simon Kirke are carrying the torch. It should be an ok show but Bad Company never were known for electric live shows so I wouldn't expect too much.
Edited to add: Rich Robinson from the Black Crowes is filling in for Ralphs on guitar.

Red Rocks is awesome. When I lived there in the 90s I saw the Horde tour - Blues Traveler, Widespread Panic, Allman Brothers.
Kind of sounds like that show might be better fit for Common Ground or the Ionia free fair but I am sure you will have fun
Interestingly, I met a dude that claimed to be a good friend of Joe Walsh camping near the top of Mt Evans. There is more to thr story but I will leave it at that. I think that might be the highest road in the USA. Road a bike down it from like 14,000 feet to 7,000 20 miles. Beujos Pizza at the bottom.
I am so jealous of you but I got to live there in my 20s as well. I always wonder how things would have worked out for me if I never left. I was so much happier there with the sunshine and outdoors but now I have MSU and the lakes and Michigan summers. Think I was meant to live in the West but family

I think it is more an 8-5 thing. He screwed up his entire life.

Many of us make this mistake when we're young. He has to find out for himself that he needs to make his own path.
