Can someone help me understand what is racist about this picture?

Probably the taller white child putting her elbow on the young African American child's head.

I mean look at her face, the eyes. She looks like she's defeated by the built in racist system... You can see the oppression inflicted upon her.

It's symbolic of the white patriarchy using their position of privilege to elevate their people while simultaneously holding those people of color down.

I don't care either way, but I'm fascinated by the outrage of it. Picturing myself as a creative director I'd probably approve a photo like that not expecting any controversy.

Not offended. Just laughing at the ridiculous notion of it and the types of policies people who get offended by this are working (unsuccessfully so far) to implement.

The real issue is that you disagree with my opinion so you're bothered by it each time a thread appears that I choose to participate in of this nature.

Maybe you should think about not letting the opinions of others bother you to the point where you want them to shut up and instead, either participate in the conversation or ignore the conversation.
