Hasn't rained here in weeks. Predicted thunderstorms this afternoon failed.

Sprinkled for about 15 minutes. Been watering the lawn pretty regularly so mine is pretty green still. A few neighbors let their grass die off. Good work jabronis.

been watering pots and non-established plants like crazy. Thankfully, the estate is pretty well rooted in, in terms of perennials and I don't do a ton of annuals, anyway.

I don't water the grass. Heck, it's a little brown and crispy in areas - but with what has happened in Flint, I can't justify the idea of running hundreds of gallons of water just to keep what amounts to a dormant weed from turning brown.

Pretty nasty-looking system came right at EL earlier this evening, then broke apart and skipped us entirely. Rain directly to the north and south, but not a drop here. I'm hopeful we'll get something overnight.

I heard the thunder and saw the lightning not that far southwest of here. Not even a drop. My wife claimed she felt a drop while walking the dog. I won't bother to tell her it was likely bird pee.

Got hammered Tuesday afternoon and last night. Filled the wheel barrel a 1/3 the way up both times. Washed out a bunch of topsoil/seed planted on Monday.

Yeah, I've been keeping the vegetAble garden watered, and a few select perennials, but that's it. Interestingly, while my backyard grass has died out, the weeds look nice and healthy. Weeds are assholes.

Oh, and after a couple of big storms once again passed north and south of EL, we finally got wet, and it was a doozy. One of the meteorologists (Andy P. or Jim G.) said winds at the airport topped 60 mph.
