Blueberries Are The Most Perfect Fruit..
not only do they pack a lot of nutrients within their relatively small capsule of blueberry goodness, but their anti-oxidant properties are practically unsurpassed. For those that are unaware of these properties, anti-oxidants strengthen the cell and protect us from free radicals which can contribute to diseases such as cancer, on one extreme, and facilitate aging on a less-demonstrably significant scale.
the blueberry has been shown to aid muscle recovery after exercise due to their oxidative properties.. (for those of you who do exercise) - moreover, there is evidence that they can improve cognitive function (I'm still waiting on this phenomenon to take hold).
finally, they're sweet, colorful and have a multitude of transferable aspects, as they are easy to eat on the go, along with being mixed into Greek yogurt or a lowfat smoothie.
All hail, the blueberry.

Refrigerate Immediately After Purchase
Once the following fruits have been picked, they won’t ripen any further. Leaving them at room temperature will only speed up their decay, so you should store them in the fridge immediately after purchase:
• Blackberries
• Blueberries
• Boysenberries
• Cherries
• Cranberries
• Currants (red, black or white)
• Elderberries
• Figs
• Grapes
• Huckleberries
• Litchis
• Raspberries
• Rhubarb
• Strawberries
Store At Room Temperature OR Refrigerate Immediately
The following fruits won’t ripen any further once they’ve been picked and they’ll last longest if you store them in the fridge right away. But it’s also fine to leave them at room temperature for a while, if you so desire (click on each fruit for specific storage times). For instance, you might want to include these fruits as part of an attractive counter-top fruit arrangement.
• Apples
• Clementines
• Grapefruit
• Kumquats
• Lemons
• Limes
• Oranges
• Pomegranates
• Tangerines
• Watermelon

I don't like my fruit refrigerated or to be eaten when cold.. so I leave them at room temp and usually consume them quickly.DWags wrote: Refrigerate Immediately After Purchase
