I don't think I'd ever lose complete interest, but it's been waning hard these last two years. They are doing literally everything they can do to ruin it, always in the name of making a few more bucks.

I like Friday games. I like that it opens my Saturday up. East Lansing is equidistant between Saugatuck and Detroit, so I can go east or I can go west after the game. I hope we can get two of them. Our usual Labor Day and another.

There comes a point when a product becomes oversaturated and then people stop caring. That's already happening to the NFL and I think it's contributing to the league's ratings decline. Even college football is getting to the point, when you start having games on Tuesday night.

Probably about a decade ago the NFL and college should have realized that they needed to stop fucking with shit. Just stop. Your product was fine. Don't touch it. Stop instituting 18 rule changes every year (unless it's a matter of player safety like changing touchbacks.) stop it with processes of catches and your feet are inbounds but the ball is out or whatever the fuck or games on random ass nights. Even playoffs which we argue about 4 teams instead of just two and also as a result managed to destroy the traditional big bowl games. Winning the big ten then going to the Rose bowl would be pretty shitty these days. Anyway... Just stop fucking with it.
The more I think about it instant replay is probably the worst thing that's ever happened to football. I'm not 100% behind that statement, but I am certainly not sure that it's actually helped the game. I think it may have dramatically hurt it.

I don't think that would exclude us from being the road team for one of the conference games (if we didn't host a non-conference game).
A Friday night game at Soldier Field against Northwestern might be kind of cool.
