How racist could America be if we had a black President, right? Unfortunately, Obama and his allies on the Left took us in exactly the opposite direction. So, that map that showed how red America was in all those small towns in all those miles of rural area, in all those Lilly white farming communities, people were somehow going to local diners or schools and some how calling them racists??? Telling them to tie the line at Levi's buckhorn saloon? Going into the five and dime and checking white privilege? I swear I never felt that way once in the last 8 years and I'm sorry that you went through that. It sucks.

I don't follow the logic of how they were called racists by fellow rural dwellers? If that was so, did all the people calling them racist day after day not go to the polls there?

They're both very smart people. If they're throwing these out there imagine what my FB feed was like with a ton of dumbass liberal and conservative friends. I quit Facebook. Couldn't stand it.

Trump is an asshole who embraced support regardless where it came from. He never denounced anything any of his supporters said about HRC or her supporters. He still doesn't and his answer is "We won".

If his 13,000 votes to win MI came from militia groups or white nationalist or Tea Party Trump didn't care and he knew full well he needed those voters to win in places like FL, MI, PA and WI.

There is no way Trump will be able to make good on his promises to bring back jobs to places like Greenville, MI or Grove City PA or Kenosha WI not even Wyoming MI where there are empty lots or small buildings housing specialty distribution taking the place of factories.

But Trump told them those things to get votes just like he said things to get approvals for his casinos or developments. Things like bragging about the size of the Gary IN casino (since sold) that was 35% of the promised footprint or telling the NJ governor and officials he wouldn't use junk bonds to finance the Taj Mahal (since sold) and then he did.

I think Trump won because Clinton's campaign got lazy and didn't engage the urban counties that Obama won to get the same turnout Obama got in '12. Too many of them sat around thinking of their post election jobs that go to the staffers instead of getting off their asses, connecting registering and taking people to vote or turn in their absentee ballots.

All Clinton's campaign had to do is match Obama's '12 turnout numbers and she would have gotten to 270 with MI, PA and WI urban counties.

I buy into the poor me, I'm abused and forgotten stories. Take away the WIC cards their unmarried daughters get and reduce the services they get for the drugs that are still running wild with meth, opiates and now heroin and see where they will be.

Part of me hopes Paul Ryan and his followers get their way and I'll be seeing even more of the small town folks who voted for Trump and get government assistance of some kind wonder what the hell has happened when their grandchild's Pell Grant vaporizes and their kids have to move because those jobs that went away in the Reagan and Bush1 administrations really aren't coming back.

I think one reason might be that there has been a Clinton or a Bush running for President in every election since 1980 with the sole exception being '12 when Obama was running for re-election.

Not what I said but spread lies just like your new hero who was elected upon a foundation of them.

I said we shouldn't be surprised when people who were vilified as a group start acting out just like those on the other side of issues.

Trump ran a campaign that took advantage of the racial divide and we shouldn't be surprised when some act out. The guy being beaten up by two black folks because of his support for Trump is no different than the Somali women who was punched in the face at a New England Applebee location by some guy who told her to go home to Africa. Except she was born in the US.

You want to be the perpetual victim Death Roe, be my guest but its a hell of a way to live. There are white supremacists being interviewed who are saying they finally have a voice with Trump being elected.

Breitbart has pandered to them. The Trump campaign sought their votes. Elections have consequences. The protests and violence is a result of tenor of Trump's campaign.

He went out of his way to demonize his opponent and never told his crowds to stop Lock Her Up chants at his rallies. He offered to pay legal expenses for the guy who punched out a protestor at one of his NC rallies.

We are in a new political world where We won so shut up rules the day even on Trumps initial advisor team.
