This may end up in the Bin later, but whatever.

Not sure where that $4 billion is coming from. The government could barely come up with a plan to spend $1.2 billion on roads

LANSING — Michigan needs to come up with nearly $4 billion more per year if the state is to close a gap in spending on its infrastructure needs, according to a report released Monday by a commission formed to study the issue.
The 21st Century Infrastructure Commission, appointed by Gov. Rick Snyder, found that the state would need to spend in excess of $60 billion more over 20 years just to fix existing infrastructure systems. (That would come to about $3 billion per year; the report did not indicate how much more than $60 billion would be required over the next two decades. A spokesman for Snyder said the annual $4 billion investment figure could fluctuate.)

It has been the Republican plan all along to ignore infrastructure spending so as to appear fiscally responsible. Now it is going to cost taxpayers loads more money than originally needed if maintenance had been addressed on time. The next plan in line is to offer gigantic tax breaks to contractors who win bids on infrastructure projects. When the bill comes due it will be laid in the lap of democratic reps /governors who have to clean up the fiscal mess created by the republican waste and corporate give away programs. Rinse and repeat.

If they do get the $4 billion (and I doubt pot taxes will amount to that much), you don't want to be on the roads next summer......

Hahaha I'm so glad I moved out of there. Shit weather and the never ending construction. Never thought the construction would get worse but get ready for it.
