Nebraska and PSU are two of the great historical power houses but I don't view them any differently than UW or Iowa these days.

No. If they're good in a year where Michigan and OSU are bad it will be considered a down year.
They're essentially Wisconsin of the East.

I suppose UM is on the verge of becoming another also-ran if they aren't already. But it might take 10 more years of this before they are perceived like another Nebraska or PSU. I guess they are now at ND level relevance with never ending hype and nothing to show for it.
Ohio State is the only one that actually produces every year so I suppose they are all alone at their own level.
