Patrick Ewing to Georgetown

Interesting hire to say the least

Is he the first Jamaican college head coach ?

I think he would have been better served to stay with an NBA gig. It'll be interesting to see how he handles recruiting, etc. I think he'll do fine on the coaching end of it.

I think his name will recruit early, he will have to prove he can coach to continue to recruit

He needs to get two hell for leather proven recruiting assistants. Ewing has his millions. They need high paid assistants.

I've read various blurbs that praised his coaching ability in the NBA. You're right though in the sense of game management, etc. It's a high risk/high reward move for Georgetown.

Big difference between being an assistant and being the guy, especially with recruiting involved
