Your son-in-law fails to list his meetings with Russian financiers, 2 members of the West Wing staff shared material with a chairman of an investigation committee who then spoke to the President.  The US Senate changed rules to get your selection to SCOTUS with a vote scheduled less than 24 hours after the attack. All of that gets pushed off the front page.

Never let a crisis go to waste.  Russia was given a heads up so they had time to at least move personnel out of harms way.

Russia has what they needed from Assad.  A 49 year lease for Tartus naval installation on the Mediterranean that was signed in Jan '17.  Now it doesn't matter who's running Syria.

Seems like it was more about sending a message to Russia, Iran and China. Refreshing to have a leader project strength.
